For nearly a decade, I've driven past the same street sign near my home and always felt it could be improved. The name itself carried an elegance, but the sign didn’t reflect it. A few years ago, I began reimagining how it could be made better. I measured the slot, purchased a piece of wood with my partner Helena, and gave it a clean finish.
About a year later, when my friend Ben — a fellow designer — was visiting, we revisited the project together. We designed a minimalist stencil that both highlighted the name and incorporated a glacier motif. The final piece feels like a quiet celebration of place, and I’m proud of how it turned out. I hope my neighbors enjoy it as much as I do!
